Watercare’s 2010 annual report has once again been recognised for excellence in corporate reporting, this time at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) New Zealand Sustainability Reporting Awards.
The company won the award for Best Report in the Energy and Utilities Sector.
The judges commented that Watercare’s report was:
Well presented with comprehensive information, vivid and readable;
Provides good information about stakeholder engagement and feedback, including a stakeholder materiality matrix;
And contains considerable information about the leadership adviser group and senior management team.
The win follows the report’s success earlier in the year when it won gold at the Australasian Reporting Awards in June.
ACCA awards for sustainability reporting are established around the world. The aim is to identify and reward innovative attempts to report corporate performance and help to underline the business case for sustainable practices and development.
