Watercare Laboratory Services is IANZ accredited to NZS/ISO/IEC 17025. This accreditation ensures that our laboratory meets stringent international standards of technical competence, reliability and quality management. The laboratory is registered with the Ministry of Health as an approved laboratory for testing potable water to confirm compliance with the New Zealand Drinking Water Standards 2005 (revised 2008).
Major internal audits are carried out on an annual basis with audits of targeted areas being carried out monthly. In addition, internationally recognised scientists audit the laboratory on a regular basis. A number of our staff are recognised as technical assessors and participate in audits of other competent laboratories in New Zealand and Australia.
Our laboratory is accredited under the NZFSA Laboratory Approval Scheme (LAS) for a number of microbiology and physico-chemical tests for the food processing industry.
Our quality system includes successful participation in a number of proficiency testing programmes.
