Responsibilities of customers who discharge conditional trade waste
Conditional trade waste is any trade waste discharged:
- as a result of an activity listed in Schedule 2 (page 21) of the Auckland Trade Waste Bylaw 2013 and which complies with our controlled substance standards, unless authorised in a Trade Waste Agreement
- from trade premises (including activities listed in Schedule 1 (page 18) of the bylaw) where the discharge exceeds 10 cubic metres per day or exceeds 0.5 litres per second
- which we determine to be conditional under Clause 7 (page 7) of the bylaw
Customers who discharge conditional trade waste must hold a Trade Waste Agreement
. They must also comply with Watercare’s controlled substance standards
unless an exemption is authorised in the agreement.
