Watercare owns, operates and maintains the water and wastewater networks in the Auckland region. All developments and service connections to our water and wastewater networks must be approved by us.
Additions to Watercare’s water and wastewater networks must be in accordance with the engineering standards relevant to your local area. The procedure to be followed and application forms that need to be completed can be downloaded from this section.
Watercare charges for its services. You can consult our water and wastewater charges page to see which charges might apply to your application. Please note that payment of fees and charges is required before your application can be approved.
Our existing water and wastewater networks can be viewed using the Auckland Council GIS Viewer. Click on the quick theme box titled "Underground Services" to view.
