What information can I access with Watercare's online account service?
Watercare's online account service makes managing your Watercare account easy. By registering your account online, you'll be able to access your current water and wastewater bill online, review past bills, pay your account by credit card, update your account details, and register for paperless billing.
What online payment methods are available?
Once you have registered your Watercare account, you can pay your account by credit card. There are also a number of other ways to pay including direct debit and automatic payment.
How do I register?
Customers who received their water and wastewater service through Metrowater prior to 1 November 2010 and have already registered online can access Watercare's online account services using the same username and password. Customers who received their water and wastewater services through another provider or regional council will be able to register for Watercare's online account service once they have received their first Watercare bill. In the meantime, we have various other ways to pay.
I tried to register but receive an error message saying 'there was a problem with some of the details provided.' What should I do?
Watercare's online account system will have created your login with the username and password that you provided but may have been unable to find the account details relating to the customer number provided. Once you receive your first Watercare bill you will be provided with a new customer number that will allow you to access your account details.
I tried to register earlier but wasn't able to complete the registration. Now when I try to register, I receive an error that says my email address is already in use.
It may be that some of your registration details were incorrect the first time you registered, however your login will have been created using the email address and password initially used. Try signing in (using the green tab on the homepage). This should take you to a page where you can add your updated customer number and view your account details.
