What's happening?

We are building a new larger 1.75 km wastewater pipeline from Windsor Park along Centorian Drive and Apollo Drive to Rosedale Wastewater Treatment Plant. This new pipeline together with the Sidmouth Pump Station upgrade (currently in construction) will contribute to increasing the wastewater transmission capacity in the East Coast Bays catchment. It will also cater for growth and help eliminate overflows.

Traffic management

Apollo Drive

On the evening of Sunday 15 October, our team and contractor March Cato will resume the open cut trenching works on Apollo Drive in Rosedale. To help ease congestion and reduce disruption for businesses, this section of the project will include night works. We anticipate this stage to be completed by mid-December.

How will this section impact you?

A one-way detour will be set up on Apollo Drive (for vehicles travelling towards Constellation Drive) between the hours of 7pm to 6am from 15 October – mid December. During the day from 6am-7pm) the one-way detour will be removed allowing traffic to flow in both directions. You may also notice the following temporary changes:

  • Reduced street parking

  • Reduced lane widths

  • Reduced speed limits

  • Bus stop relocation

Bus stops outside 27 and 30 Apollo Drive will be closed and temporary bus stops will be set up outside 5-7 and 36 Apollo Drive. Please refer to the Auckland Transport website or app and plan your journey accordingly.

We ask that you please follow directions of traffic management staff and traffic signage.
