What is the latest?

After a successful pipeline cutover (when the pipes are joined), the Howick loop main on William Roberts Road has been fully commissioned. This means that the existing watermain has now been replaced with the recently installed pipe. The next milestone will be on 19 October, when we switch to the new Bulk Supply Point (BSP) which will signal the end of the works. Our team endeavour to be out of the area a week after the completion of this connection. However, the Eastern Busway Alliance will continue upgrading and shifting our assets as their works progress.

Starting at the Pakuranga Road end of William Roberts Road and moving towards Ti Rakau Drive, the water pipe will be replaced in sections. We expect the pipe to replaced by October 2023. The Eastern Busway-William Roberts Road extension will be completed at the end of 2023, at which time crews will start works on the Reeves Road flyover.
