Pukekohe wastewater upgrades

We are upgrading the wastewater network for Pukekohe, Buckland and Tuakau.

Start–finish: 2016–2017
Location: Buckland Road to Parker Lane
Status: Construction

What’s happening?

The existing pipeline is significantly under capacity.

Our contractor, Fulton Hogan, is building a new 6.4-kilometre pipe. It will have a diameter between 1.2 and 1.5 metres, depending on the location.

The pipeline will run between a new pumping station on Buckland Road and the Pukekohe Wastewater Treatment Plant at Parker Lane.

What are the benefits?

These essential upgrades ensure we can provide and maintain a reliable service for residents.

How will this work affect you?

  • Construction began in April 2016 and will take about 20 months to complete.
  • Some traffic congestion is likely.
  • There will be some construction noise, but we will keep this within Auckland Council’s limits.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
