Behind the Central Interceptor project is a dedicated team made up of Watercare staff and contractor, Ghella Abergeldie Joint Venture. Together, the team is working towards the collective goals of delivering the project safely, sustainably and to the highest possible standard for the people of Auckland.
Building New Zealand's largest bored wastewater tunnel is a team effort, and we're excited that this project allows us to step outside our core team and educate the next generation of engineers. Earlier this year we gave a handful of interns the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business, be involved in the Central Interceptor project and advance their skills in their chosen field.
