Sewage is another term for wastewater.

A sewer is a pipe carrying wastewater.

Sewerage is the system of pipes that carry wastewater to the treatment plant.

A portable device used to draw water directly from a fire hydrant on watermains.

Rainwater that falls on the roof or collects on roads, footpaths etc. It is carried away through separate stormwater pipes. Auckland Council maintains the public stormwater network.

A private meter connected to a master meter.

A person or company that provides a service or product to Watercare. This may include contractors and consultants.

Meeting current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

An outlet that supplies bulk drinking water to a tanker or other water carrier.

To tender is to offer or present something formally. Tenders often refer to people or businesses submitting proposals to carry out work or supply goods.
