As New Zealand’s largest water utility we treat and supply 326 million litres of safe, high-quality drinking water to around 1.4 million people in the Auckland region. We also collect and treat 400 million litres of wastewater every day.

Our employees represent over 30 countries and speak many languages, including te reo Maori, Samoan, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Hindi, Chinese and Malaysian. You’ll be working with highly experienced teams in a wide range of disciplines – from engineering, science, technology and operations, to communications and business support.

We are based in Watercare House, a 5 Green Star building in Newmarket. This central location on Remuera Road is just minutes from the motorway, and is close to public transport including Newmarket train station. Shopping, cafes and restaurants are within walking distance.
About 500 people work at head office, in roles such as:
managing our water and wastewater networks
planning and managing new infrastructure projects
finance, human resources, information services, risk and assurance, corporate communications and customer service.
