A video created to help new employees and the wider community understand Watercare is now the recipient of two international awards.

Watercare’s video Welcome to Watercare has been named a dual bronze winner at the 37th Annual Telly Awards in both the employee communications and copywriting categories.

Produced and directed by Steve King from Corporate Media NZ, the video was among 13,000 entries from around the world judged by a prestigious panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals.

This accolade is the second time the video has been recognised internationally. In March, it was awarded a silver reel at the 47th Annual MCA-I Video Festival in the United States.

Watercare chief executive Raveen Jaduram says it is an honour to have the video recognised on an international level.

“The award is a great acknowledgement of the efforts of our enthusiastic employees who featured in front of the camera and those that worked tirelessly behind the scenes alongside Corporate Media.”

King says the bronze Telly, awarded to the top 25 percent of entries, is an affirmation of Watercare’s desire to produce a world-class communications piece.

“This was an ambitious project – Welcome to Watercare was the lead video in an induction suite of nine videos.

“Not only did the crew work incredibly hard to cover the many locations and Watercare employees who feature but the employees themselves went above and beyond to ensure their organisation was proudly represented.”

Telly Awards executive director Linda Day says Corporate Media NZ’s accomplishment “illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”
