Watercare is preparing to begin work on the Clonbern Road Wastewater Diversion Project in Remuera, with Seipp Construction Ltd appointed to deliver the works.
The project will upgrade a section of the wastewater network between 75 and 101 Clonbern Road that has reached the end of its service life and requires renewal. The work will improve the long-term reliability and resilience of the local wastewater network while reducing the need for future maintenance and repairs.
To minimise impacts on private properties, the project will involve installing a new wastewater pipeline within the public road corridor and rehabilitating the existing pipeline so it can continue servicing nearby properties.
Works will be delivered in two stages:
- Line A : Construction of a new wastewater pipeline, September 2026 to March 2027.
- Line B : Relining of the existing wastewater pipeline, September 2026 to March 2027.
