Project overview
The first stage of this project involves investigating the condition of pipes using CCTV. The second stage will involve the relining of pipes using trenchless technology and the repair of existing manholes and pipelines.
We will need to access wastewater manholes starting from mid-May to conduct CCTV inspections of the pipes and, depending on the condition, we may reline, repair or replace the pipelines and manholes in a follow-up visit. If we need to access a manhole within a property, we will contact the resident directly to discuss what is involved, organise access and answer questions. We will carry out any reinstatement needed to leave each site as we found it.

Above: Blowing smoke - but for all the right reasons. These pipe detectives are using smoke to find defects in pipes, or incorrect connections of stormwater to the wastewater network.
Benefits
This project will ensure the local wastewater network is in good condition, reducing the likelihood of overflows.
How will this work affect you?
We will do everything we can to keep disruption to a minimum.
Traffic: Work will be carried out overnight to avoid traffic congestion and disruption to businesses. Traffic management will be in place and we’ll have a number of contractors, vehicles, construction equipment on the roadside, berms, footpaths and in driveways. This may be disruptive, but we endeavour to work swiftly.
Noise: To complete this work as quickly as possible, we will work from 7pm to 7am. Some construction equipment including air compressors, generators, and other items powered by diesel engines will be on site.
Odour: You may notice some smell as we install new liners in the wastewater pipes. This is normal and only temporary.
