Project Overview

The project will be delivered in stages. First, we will carry out CCTV investigations at various locations across Ōrākei to assess the condition of the wastewater pipes (see map below for indicative areas).

Once this work is complete, we will move on to pipeline relining, which will primarily be carried out using trenchless technology. We will also undertake rehabilitation work on manholes along the pipeline.

Some of this work will take place within public reserves, roadways, and roadside berms, while other activities may occur on private property.

Upcoming works: see map below

We’ll let you know before anything happens; residents and businesses directly affected by the works will receive a notice in their letter box with more details.

We are committed to working closely with you to minimise disruption while we complete this important repair work.

How the work will impact locals (traffic management plans, noise, roads blocked off etc):

To carry out these works, our contractors will need access to several sewer manholes. As the crew progresses, moving from manhole to manhole, you may experience some localised traffic disruption, noise, and odour in the immediate vicinity.

These works will generate some noise; however, it will be kept to a minimum and within levels approved by Auckland Council. We appreciate your patience as we undertake these essential works. Please note that these works will not affect your water or wastewater services.
