Project overview
The existing wastewater pump station and pipeline on Ireland Road has reached the end of its lifecycle. We’re replacing the aging infrastructure to improve the networks resilience and to reduce wet weather overflows.
How will this affect you?
Our general working hours are Monday – Saturday, 7:30am-6pm. On occasion, work may need to take place outside of these hours. We will contact our neighbours in advance.
Please see the works area in the map below.

The existing pump station is located next to the Panmure Basin public toilets on Ireland Road. During the pump station upgrade works, we will securely fence our worksite, and an approved traffic management plan will be in place to maintain vehicle access to the car parks.
Access to the Panmure Lagoon Sailing Club, the public toilets, the playground, the sheds and the boat ramp will not be impacted.
We are installing a new wastewater pipeline along Ireland Road. To reduce the impact to the community, we will be using trenchless construction methods for most of the pipe installation. If existing services are located along the proposed pipeline route, we may need to complete a small section of open trenching. We will inform the community in advance of any changes.
To keep our staff safe, an approved traffic management plan will be in place along Ireland Road while we work. Clear signage will be in place to guide you.
Please note, your water and wastewater services will not be affected while we complete this essential work.
