Coronation Road Sewer Replacement

Project Overview

The current wastewater pipeline in Coronation Road is at the end of its lifecycle and needs to be replaced. We are going to install approximately 180m of new wastewater pipeline, three new manholes, a new pipe bridge and permanently close the existing wastewater pipeline.

The new pipeline will be installed in private property at 9 Tanners Road and run alongside the SH20 on ramp. It will be installed using an open trenching methodology. This means that we will remove the existing trees and vegetation from the area, excavate to approximately 3-4 metres deep and lay the new pipeline, before reinstating the work site.

How will this work affect you?

Work will begin in December 2025 and is expected to be completed in May 2026.

Our working hours will be Monday to Friday, 7am-6pm and Saturday, 8am-3pm.

During working hours, construction noise, vibrations, dust and increased truck movements should be expected. Our team will work to reduce the impacts to the community where possible.

Before we begin the pipeline condstruction, an existing streetlight will be relocated on the motorway onramp. This work is planned for early January 2026. If this work impacts you, the service provider will contact you.

In December 2025, our contractor CB Civil will set up their worksite and begin vegetation clearance.

On Monday 5 January 2026, the excavation work will begin and is expected to take approximately four weeks to complete. Due to the basalt rock at this location, we expect there to be times when the work is loud and causes vibrations. Our contractors will use sound matts and containers to reduce the noise as much as possible. This part of the project is expected to take up to four weeks to complete.
