Warkworth’s population is expected to grow significantly over the following decades, with more than 20,000 people anticipated to move to the area. To support this growth, we have a $450m+ infrastructure programme underway that includes a now complete new pump station, transfer pipeline and start-of –the-art facility at Snells Beach, replacing the Warkworth Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The map shows where the improvements have created additional capacity for new connections downstream of the Elizabeth Street bottleneck, and where there is no capacity until all the improvements are completed, expected in late 2027.
