If you are working near large pipes on private property, please fill in the form below:

For works on private property, please provide:
A foundation plan showing your proposed development in relation to our water and wastewater pipes.
A cross-section plan showing the horizontal and vertical clearances of your structure from any public water and wastewater pipes and manholes, as well as the 45° zone of influence line drawn 500mm below the invert level of the pipe. Sample foundation/cross-section plan
The correct legal address of the site, as allocated by Auckland Council.
We may require CCTV footage showing the condition of wastewater pipes before you start work – see next question.
The pipe was built and as-built plans were approved within the last 6 months
It is more than 6 months since the pipe was built and as-built plans were approved

We aim to complete an application within 20 working days of receiving it. Times may vary depending on the complexity of the project, and whether all information is provided.

For approval of works on private property, see the hourly technician and engineer rates: Other charges
We normally charge a single hour at the technician rate, but depending on the scale of the work we could apply the higher engineer rate. In rare cases a large project may require multiple hours.
