Residential tenants

As a tenant, the Watercare account won’t be in your name. You won’t have authority to discuss the account unless the property owner contacts us to authorise you. Find out more about your relationship with us as a tenant.

When you move in or out, your landlord or property manager is responsible for letting us know.

You need to cancel any automatic payments or other bill payments you have set up for Watercare. 
 
  • To cancel a direct debit, phone us on (09) 442 2222, press 2. 
  • To cancel a recurring credit card payment, phone us on  (09) 442 2222, press 2. You need to cancel any automatic payments or other bill payments you have set up for Watercare. Otherwise the payments will continue to be automatically withdrawn.
