Follow the steps to access our bulk water supply
If you answered 'yes' you need to register with Taumata Arowai before you can apply for a drinking water contract through us.
To apply for a drinking water contract click here to submit your application via our online form. Please make sure you have the following registration details available as per the transitional provisions introduced by Taumata Arowai:
Water carriers that were registered under the Health Act 1956 immediately before 15 November 2021 continue to be registered as water carriers. Your current Ministry of Health (MoH) Registration Certificate will continue to be valid until 15 November 2022 for the purpose of your drinking water contract with us (Watercare). When you submit your application, please include your existing MoH Registration Certificate. After 15 November 2022 you must be registered with Taumata Arowai to apply for your drinking water contract with us.
Water carriers that were not registered immediately before 15 November 2021 have a transitional period to apply to register with Taumata Arowai. Please contact Taumata Arowai to confirm registration dates. If you are a new water carrier and have not previously been registered as water carrier with the MoH and do not hold an existing MoH registration certificate, you must register with Taumata Arowai before applying for a contract with us.
Please note: From the commencement date of the Act, all water carriers have a duty to supply safe drinking water and to ensure that drinking water complies with the drinking water standards.
